Specs:
Intro:
I’m going to tell you some interesting things about this phone. Now, there are things in the Realme GT 8 Pro that could have been in the OnePlus. The Realme GT 8 Pro has some things that were in the OnePlus and should have been in it. Realme has partnered with Rico, so the focus is on the camera. OnePlus has increased its focus on performance. And if we talk about Oppo, it has become an all-rounder phone.
Design:
Now the GT series is basically known for its performance. This time I saw something interesting in the performance. The in-hand feel is a bit thick. You can change the camera module. The feel of this phone is good. The weight of this phone is 220.9 gm and it has Gorilla Glass 7i protection. If I talk about ports and buttons then it has a speaker grill. There is USB type C. After that comes the microphone and SIM card tray. On the top side there is a speaker grill and noise cancelling microphone and IR blaster. There are a volume rocker and power on off button.
Display:
Speaking of the display, it features a 6.79-inch 2K resolution display at 144Hz. However, this display is quite bright. Realme claims a peak brightness of 7,000 nits, and the HBM also has a peak brightness of 2,000 nits. However, this display is not LPTO.
Speaking of sensors, there’s an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. Face unlock works well.
Talking about multimedia, you will get 2K display, so bright, amazing display, extremely thin bezels, immersive video experience.

Realme GT 8 Pro Camera:
Now let’s talk about the most important aspect: Realme GT 8 Pro Camera. In this price range, only the Realme GT 8 Pro offers a 200MP lens. This phone has a 200MP telephoto lens. The primary lens is 50MP, and the secondary lens is 50MP. The front camera is 32MP. Its output is significantly improved. If you compare it to the previous generation, the camera has improved significantly with the introduction of Ricoh. One of these factors is shutter speed.
Ricoh is known for street photography. If you want to capture an action shot, a fast shutter speed is crucial, which is evident in the Realme GT 8 Pro. Secondly, with a 200MP telephoto lens, you can achieve 3X optical zoom. Realme claims you can zoom up to 6X lossless. And even there, the photos are good. Realme says that photos are good up to 12X. However, at 12X, AI-generated elements start to appear. Therefore, photos are good up to 6X. Portraits, especially at 3X, are fantastic.
If I talk about camera features, there’s an AI Landscape mode, video mode, and photo mode. Ricoh has a mode called the Ricoh GR, which offers five different filters: neutral, standard, black and white, and high-contrast black and white. Night mode, pro high resolution, panorama, food mode, and slow-motion mode are also available. So, you’ll find all the features.
Talking about Ricoh’s filters, they create shots that resemble old film, and again, those grains are visible for street photography. These result in very natural photos. You can change the mode, etc. Due to which the photos come out very good.
Speakers and Multimedia:
Even speakers are symmetrical, so the sound is balanced. The quality is good. The multimedia is top notch. Even calling is also beneficial because of the symmetrical speakers. Even the microphone gives very clear voice. Clear call quality, the speaker quality is very good. In this you get peak brightness in 10% area. But the peak is 4000 nits brightness. There is support for Widevine L1. There is support for Dolby Vision. There is HDR 10 Plus. So, the quality is absolutely top notch. You can watch proper HDR content on Netflix and Prime Video. The haptic feedback is good.
Battery:
Let’s talk about the specifications. This 8 Elite comes with Gen 5 RAM, LPDDR 5X, and UFS 4.1 storage. However, the RAM is a bit slow. It also has a 7000mAh battery and a 120W charger. 50W wireless charging is also available. You will get IP 68,69 support in this, so you can use it even under water
Performance:
When it comes to the Realme GT 8 Pro, it leaves all the others behind in terms of performance. this phone performs well in gaming. However, performance drops slightly when you play for longer sessions. However, you can still do proper gaming at the highest settings. You can do short-term gaming well, but this phone struggles with long-term gaming. On paper, AnTuTu scores are around 4 million, reaching up to 3.97 million. However, Geek bench scores are similar. Single-core scores are above 3700 and multi-core scores are above 11000.
For the average user, no matter which 8elite gen 5 phone you buy, you won’t face any problems. Even with intense multitasking, you won’t face any issues.
You can play BGMI and COD at up to 144Hz. Its thermals aren’t that great, reaching up to 40 degrees. It also comes with a Hyper Vision Plus chip, which essentially increases gaming resolution and gives you a better gaming experience.
OS and UI:
Now let’s talk about the Realme UI, which is based on Android 16. You get 4 years of major updates and 5 years of security updates. But there’s one good thing and one bad thing about the Realme UI. What I liked was that third-party apps and games, like hot apps and games, aren’t there. But Glance is there. Universal global search, Glance, all those things are there.
And I didn’t see many dark patterns either. Another interesting thing is AI. Realme isn’t focused on AI. I think OnePlus is developing an AI feature. And the Realme GT 8 Pro doesn’t have a dedicated AI button. And let me tell you one thing, you know what happens in UI usage. Take any UI. It’s very close to liquid glass. It’s a copy of iOS.
Connectivity:
If I talk about connectivity, everything is there, 17 5G bands are supported. Globally 21 5G bands are supported. Wi-Fi 7 is available. Bluetooth 6.0 is available. IR blaster is available. NFC support is available, everything is there. An extra single chip is provided in it. Basically, to keep the network performance good. It has 5 antennas separately. If you are doing gaming etc. then you will receive the network properly. By the way, one more thing is that dual nano SIM card slot is provided. But it also supports E SIM.
Switch Camera Design:
The Realme GT 8 Pro comes with a replaceable bus. You just need to remove the screws, allowing you to swap out different camera designs. The connectors are also available in metal shapes, which can improve your network connectivity.
