Vivo T4 Ultra review: Camera, Features and Specifications

Introduction:

This is Vivo T4 Ultra and Vivo has taken a very different approach to this phone. Vivo T4 Ultra is good in all departments. Due to this, it will be a very balanced phone. According to me, this phone is amazing in terms of looks. It has a very interesting pattern and it has a glass back panel and the frame are made of polycarbonate. The in-hand feel of the phone is very smooth. After testing this phone, I feel that Vivo’s philosophy is very clear. You will understand very well what I mean by this.

Design:

Let’s talk about the design first because here I will clearly say that vivo knows how to make a good design. This phone looks very unique, just because of its pattern and colour. It agrees that this is one of the very flashy and loud colours. This is another colour available in the phone. And according to the size of this phone, Vivo T4 Ultra weight seemed reasonable to me. It is 193 grams.

And the thickness is also less. And I understood this after using it. The edges of its panel are completely curved. And in this way the display of the phone is also curved from all four edges. This is a short-curved display. Because of this the edges of the phone are rounded, that is why this phone looks so smooth. This phone gets IP64 rating. It says that it can handle a little water. And vivo says that it has wet hand touch technology, if there is a little water on the screen, the display can remain responsive.

And surprisingly Vivo has given female speakers in this phone and these dual speakers are producing very good sound, they are loud and I found a good amount of bass as well. Anyway, the haptic feedback of the phone seemed average to me. The fingerprint scanner works well. Yes, its location is a little below. And dual SIM is supported here. You cannot insert a micro-SD card.

Camera Test:

Now let’s discuss the camera of Vivo T4 Ultra, because like other Vivo phones, the camera of this phone is also a bit special. This phone has a 50MP + 8MP + 50MP setup. And the special thing is that Vivo claims that this is the first phone in the segment which is coming with IMX 921. And the second 50MP camera is a 3x periscope lens. And the interesting thing here is that this periscope lens can take micro photos at 10x. According to me, the micro lens is doing its job very well.

I have noticed one more thing that if we take portrait photos then this cut out comes out very well. In most of the photos the skin tone remains bright. But the overall colour or processing is quite desirable or I should say social media ready. And if I talk about the main camera in particular, then after capturing a lot of photos, one thing is clear that HDR works well in any lighting condition. In general, this phone takes quite punchy course photos. And as is the case with Vivo’s V series phones, there is no normal flashlight. A smart aura light is available. The same is there in this phone as well.

This light is not too harsh like a flash light. It works like a soft light. And if we talk about normal low light without flash, then Vivo T4 Ultra is capable enough to capture bright output. In fact, in low light, it also controls the highlights properly. And the 8MP ultrawide lens does good processing. But the detail comes just like 8MP. And you know what? Vivo has put a new film camera interface inside the camera of this phone. This is a very fun mode if anyone wants a little look of the camera. And here there are some specific effects too like cold film or sunshine and other effects.

And if I talk about the front camera, it is of 32MP. And I think the selfies are good. I mean the details are good in these selfies. And the skin tone is a little bright and smooth.

But the good thing is that you can shoot 4K 60FPS videos from both the front and back cameras. The videos from the front camera are good, there is just a little lack of stability, and the videos from the back camera are good but sometimes the details are less. But the processing of the videos is good. I can simply call it good according to the price segment.

Display:

Now let’s talk about the display of Vivo T4 Ultra. It has a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution. But as I have already told you, it is a quad curve display. It can be called a premium touch. But the expected refresh rate is 120Hz. But if I talk specifically about brightness, Vivo claims that this phone has a peak brightness of 5000 nits. And the HBM is of 1600 nits. And when we see the display in direct sunlight, the HBM number is useful, which is 1600 nits. And I think this display is sufficiently visible outdoors.

And if I talk about peak brightness, it is useful when we watch HDR content. Now because this phone supports HDR on Netflix, which is good. This phone outputs colorful videos while watching. And there is shield glass protection inside this phone. So, if I judge overall, then according to me Vivo has done a good job in the display.

Battery:

This phone has a 5500mAh battery which we will now call a normal capacity. But practically speaking, 5500mAh is also a good capacity. In fact, the 90W charging support in this phone is also very good. I did the charging test of this phone and this phone was fully charged in about 40 to 45 minutes. Which is quite good. So the charging speed and battery capacity can be said to be good. I know there are many phones in this same price segment, but as I said, the battery combination of Vivo T4 Ultra is good enough.

Vivo T4 Ultra Performance:

The performance department of this Vivo T4 Ultra can be called very interesting. I mean, you remember last year Vivo had a flagship phone called Vivo X100 Pro. The processor used in that phone is a slightly upgraded version of the same processor used in this phone. MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ and I can say that it is a very interesting choice in this price segment. It has storage UFS 3.1. And the RAM is LPDDR5.

And now if I talk about AnTuTu scores, they are around 19.6 lakhs.

And on Geek bench, multi core scores are around 5300. And these scores can be called good enough. And the good thing is that the stability of this phone is 74.1%. So according to these benchmarks, this phone can obviously handle normal tasks. In fact, it can also handle heavy tasks. But the gaming story of this phone is not clear yet. This phone comes with a setting of 120FPS on COD and also with a setting of 90FPS on BGMI. And both these settings can be considered quite good. Overall, the performance of this phone is good.

Software and Updates Policy:

Now let’s talk about the software, this phone has Funtouch OS 15. It is based on Android 15. And this phone comes with an update policy of 3 + 4 years. But if I judge Funtouch OS, I think it is smooth and is working well. And most importantly, if I judge it according to 2025, then AI features are good. Like AI eraser is available inside the gallery. It works well. Live cutout is also available and there is also AI Notes Assist which can give better formatting to the notes.

Then it can be summarized. In short, many such AI features are available. And for your knowledge, I will tell you an interesting thing, many people are saying that the security patch update of May has come in Funtouch OS, so many features of Origin OS have also come inside it. The features of Origin OS i.e. the lockscreen customizations have become much better. Many new features have been added to it. And the blur elements in the entire UI have been done very well and features like AI image expander are also being seen. So, there are high chances that we will get this phone in a few days. So, this will be a good advantage.

Preinstalled apps are available in this phone and we can uninstall and disable those apps.

Conclusion:

All things considered, how did I like this phone? So, one thing is clear, if anyone wants a good camera and a very good design in this price segment, no doubt Vivo T4 Ultra is a very good option. In fact, even if we judge the other departments of this phone technically, they are also bringing specs with a very balanced approach. And the simple explanation of the philosophy that I was talking about in the beginning is that Vivo has made very clear segments for its phones. If someone wants a performance-oriented phone with great specifications, then IQOO is the best option for them, and if someone wants a phone with a balanced approach with Vivo branding, then comes with good looks, comes with a good camera, in that case it is Vivo T4 Ultra.

So, this was my opinion about this phone, how did you like this phone?
