Introduction:
Vivo X200 FE is going to be launched in India very soon and it is going to create a lot of sensation. This phone has some very interesting things. It comes in a compact size, has a strong processor, excellent camera setup, an enhanced silicon carbon and much more. But I am saying all these things because this phone is going to create a lot of buzz in India, because this is Vivo’s first compact phone in India and its price will also be good.
The phone I am talking about is Vivo X200 FE and it is going to give a tough competition to the recently launched OnePlus 13s. This phone is known by a different name in China, and it comes in a white box in China while it will be launched in India with a black box. What you get inside the box like charger, mobile case will be the same, there is no change in it. But there will be some changes in the phone and today I am going to talk about this. But first I will tell you how this phone looks.
Display:
The phone sports a 6.3-inch 1.5K LTPO AMOLED, 120Hz refresh Rate display panel with 4500 nits peak brightness and comes with King Kong Shield 3 glass protection. The Vivo X200 FE also has an optical fingerprint scanner which works fine. And the screen was bright enough even when I took it outside in sunlight to test it. Videos look good on it too.
Build Quality:
Now we will talk about the build quality of the Vivo X200 FE.
This phone has metal edges and they look exactly like the OnePlus 13s, from the right side. Now, unlike the OnePlus, this one is a bit thinner and weighs almost the same.
Camera:
Apart from this, it has a vertical camera module which has a unique identity in itself. When you see its camera module for the first time, you will feel that it has only two cameras, but in reality, it has three cameras and the third camera is installed on the right side. Let me tell you why. First of all, the camera features are pretty good. It has a 50MP Sony IMX 921 main camera. This is the same camera you get on the Vivo X200. There is a telephoto lens, 3x optical zoom with iOS and you also get an 8MP ultrawide camera which was not there in the OnePlus 13s.
The selfie camera is 50MP and you can shoot in both 0.8x and 2x. Apart from this, there are some really cool camera features like makeup mirror, AI portraits and aura light. The main camera takes some good shots and the colours look real too. The 3x shots taken with the telephoto camera also don’t disappoint. But what impressed me the most was the 10x shots.
I also took a few portrait shots on this phone and I really liked its edge detection, but there is more smoothing and it looks a lot better. But the ultra-wide camera is not that good and the shots are just okay. As soon as you start zooming in you will start to notice the lack of details. Selfies are good. Skin tones are good and you get different perspectives too.
You can record 4K 60Hz videos with the main camera, telephoto and even the selfie camera. Of course, the photos and videos in this phone are good but there is one thing I did not like at all. Actually, the camera takes a lot of time to process, which is not what you would expect from a phone like this. Maybe this is an optimization issue, but I hope Vivo fixes it before bringing this phone to India.
And I would like to tell you that this phone will come with ZEIIS branding, so there will be changes in the camera features and the processing can also be better. Overall, the camera of this phone is very good.
Performance and Benchmark:
Now if I talk about the performance, it has a MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ processor with up to 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512 GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
In benchmarks, it does not score as high as the OnePlus 13s in both AnTuTu and Geek bench, but its stability is very high in 3D Mark Solar B test as well as CPU throttling.
Gaming:
This phone performs well in gaming and its FPS numbers are good. It performs at 90 FPS. This phone gives very good gameplay. But the biggest difference in this phone is in the temperature. During the gameplay, the temperature was reaching 44 degrees. But in heavy games like BGMI, the Vivo X200 FE is limited to just 60 FPS as it is a Chinese unit. But the temperature of Vivo X200 FE is slightly higher than OnePlus 13s. But not everyone likes to play games. Some people like excellent cameras. And for them, Vivo X200 FE is definitely a better option.
Huge Battery:
Vivo X200 FE comes with a very big battery, this phone has a 6500mAh silicon carbon battery with 90W fast charging support. This is a very good thing, people will like its battery a lot. And apart from this, it also comes with IP68 and IP69 rating.
I got around 4 hours 27 minutes of SOT on this phone. So, yes, even with heavy usage, it can easily last you more than a day. Charging is also quite fast in this phone, it goes from 0%-100% in just 1 hour.
Vivo X200 FE Colour:
Now we will talk about its colour,
Its colour is mint green, but no matter what type of light falls on it, it will always remain sky blue. I personally like this colour a lot. It looks very cool in this colour.
Connectivity:
In terms of connectivity you get,
WIFI 7
Bluetooth 5.4
Dual SIM Support
NFC
IR Blaster
But it does not have EIN support and has USB 2.0, which is slow.
Software and Updates:
Now if I talk about the software, this phone is running on Origin OS based on Android 15, but in India, it will run on Funtouch OS only.
Price:
Vivo X200 FE price in India will be around Rs. 50,000.
And for this price, it is a really good compact phone. It has great cameras, a big battery and a nice design.
Of course, it is not the most powerful phone. The storage is 3.1 and there is no wireless charging support. But still, this phone will make a lot of noise in India and if priced right, it will be a great option. So, these were my thoughts about the new Vivo X200 FE.
